In response to customer demand, Endress+Hauser has extended its range of radar level gauges to allow measurement of powdery to granular bulk solids up to 70m.
Like the rest of the Micropilot M range, the non-contact FMR250 is unaffected by application conditions such as dust, filling noise, temperature layers and gas stratification to provide the highest measurement integrity. It is therefore ideal for level measurement in high silos containing dusty solids such as cement, animal feed or applications with strongly abrasive bulk solids e.g. ferrite.
The key to Micropilot M's success is the integrated echo platform. This allows simple step by step commissioning, easy analysis and system optimisation and the ability to document the specific measuring point as part of quality procedures. The local display guides you through the set-up procedure by asking simple questions and offering a choice of answers - you simply select the one that applies to your application. For added security, the envelope curve can be plotted on the local display allowing you to see exactly what the Micropilot M sees!
For maximum versatility, the 2-wire FMR250 is available in two compact versions: the horn antenna for level measurement in narrower applications and the parabolic antenna with 4° beam angle focusing for longer range measurement. What's more, the integrated air purge is a standard feature and is perfect for applications where there is strong dust generation or build-up. Plus, the top target positioner allows for adaptation to angled surfaces to minimise interference reflections. All in all, a solid solution to your level measurement tasks!
