SupplyCare SAP® Integration SCE60

Inventory management of storage tanks and silos integrated into SAP® R/3®

SupplyCare comprises hardware and software components, information systems and services that offer online information on the availability of, and need for, tank and silo stock along the supply chain.

The connection between the master data and movement data from the field and the master data in SAP® R/3® is established in SupplyCare SAP® Integration.

Inventory stock and safety reserves are actively monitored and displayed in SAP® R/3®. The current inventory values can, in turn, be used to automate

additional business processes.

Field of application

The right choice of inventory strategy can significantly affect a company's ability to compete. If inventories are generous, you are always able to deliver but inefficient processes are concealed. Low inventory stock levels save cost but can impact your ability to deliver. This conflict of objectives is exacerbated by altered customer needs, uncertainty in demand and procurement and constantly increasing market requirements. To guarantee competitiveness, processes have to be constantly optimized and provided with real-time information. Planning and MRP processes can only meet the demands of the market on the basis of up-to-date and transparent inventory data along the value chain.

By integrating measured inventory values for liquids and bulk solids into SAP® R/3®, you have constant information on the current inventory stock along the supply chain. Inventory stock and safety reserves are actively monitored and displayed in SAP® R/3®. The current inventory values can, in turn, be used to automate additional business processes, e.g. purchase requisitioning, continuous inventory, actual/target comparison etc. .

Process cycle

A number of steps are necessary so current inventory data are available in the SAP® R/3® system for inventory

management: measure inventory stock, record and transmit data, post to SAP® R/3® system.
